Husarö is a small, idyllic island in the Stockholm archipelago, known for its unspoiled nature and the tranquillity it exudes. The island offers a perfect mix of dense forests, rocky coastlines and picturesque beaches. A network of hiking trails invites you to explore the surroundings on foot, while the clear waters are ideal for swimming, kayaking or fishing.

Husarö has an exciting history as an important port of call for shipping in the archipelago and is still a place where you can enjoy seclusion and experience nature in its purest form. The island is only accessible by boat and is car-free, which underlines its special charm and exclusivity.

Hey, I’m Åsa!

1968
In the middle of the picturesque island of Husarö lies my little paradise – a place full of history and memories. It all began in 1968, when my parents bought the land with a wedding present from my grandmother. For the first few years, they lived in a tent while the first small house was built. This was later followed by the larger house on the hill, which was completed shortly before I was born in 1970.
1981
In 1981, my father built another house, originally to finally have a shower for his jogging laps. This house was finished in 1982 and later became the home for my sister and me.
1995

In 1995, we had plans to extend the house, but after I moved to Germany in 1996, the conversion remained a dream. It was only after my father’s death in 2017 that we realized this dream with a lot of love and care. Today, the house is not only finished, but also more beautiful than I could ever have imagined.

Now I am opening the doors of this special place for you, so that you too can enjoy the peace and beauty of Husarö. Our summer house offers simple comfort with a cozy wood stove – an authentic experience in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago.
Vacation
From midsummer to mid-August, the island comes to life: Celebrations, concerts, soccer, yoga and the popular Husarö Day with market and marathon provide plenty of variety. And the charming corner store with its small outdoor bar provides you with everything you need.
